London-based Thames & Hudson, known for its illustrated books on art, design, fashion, and photography, has confirmed that writer Michael Clerzio has agreed to write a book about watchmaker George Daniels commissioned by the publisher.
The book, which will be titled “George Daniels: A Man and His Art” (“George Daniels: A Man and His Art”), tells about the life of a great watchmaker, starting from his very childhood.
The coaxial descent system, successfully industrialized by OMEGA watch manufacture, was perhaps the greatest invention of this master. It is expected that the work will become not only a detailed biography of Daniels, but also tell about his significant contribution to the world of watchmaking, describing in detail the master’s handmade watches. It will also include drawings and drawings of his own watches and watches, which he managed to restore over the years.
