Police robots will begin patrolling Dubai in the coming May.

Dubai, UAE. Police robots will begin patrolling Dubai in May, the Dubai police said. Cars will accept fines, information about offenses and answer questions from residents and guests of the emirate. Robots will communicate with those who contacted through cameras and microphones connected to the Dubai Police Call Center.

“People will be able to ask questions and make complaints, but talking with robots will also be fun,” said Colonel Khalid Nasser Al Razuki, general director of the smart police department of the Dubai Police.

Robots that speak different languages will receive information about offenses - to report, it will be enough to touch the touch screen on the "chest" of the machine. In addition to fines, they will accept official documents sent to law enforcement.

As explained by Al Razuki, by 2030 the Dubai police will receive the first police station, which will be fully serviced by robots. In addition, a quarter of all police will also be represented by robots with artificial intelligence.
