Dubai ruler establishes International Institute of Tolerance

The UAE passed the Law on the Establishment of the International Institute of Tolerance to build bridges between people.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Ibn Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, has issued Law No. 9 of 2017 on the establishment of the International Institute of Tolerance.

The Law on the Establishment of the International Institute for Tolerance also includes the establishment of the Tolerance Award by Mohammed Ibn Rashid Al Maktoum, regulated by law, the status of which is established by the institute.

The goal of the International Institute of Tolerance is to instill two tolerance, create a cohesive society and develop the image of the UAE as a model of tolerance, combating extremism and any form of discrimination, including discrimination based on religion, gender, race, color or language. The law will promote tolerance, encourage open dialogue and emphasize the honest and peaceful nature of Islam.

As Sheikh Mohammed stated:

“The creation of the International Institute of Tolerance takes place at a time when it is most urgent to create bridges of tolerance and solidarity between people. The doors of the institute are always open for scientists and like-minded people who intend to work to create a culture of tolerance and openness in society, as well as fight extremism, fanaticism and moral repression.

Since its inception, the UAE has promoted the values ​​of tolerance, coexistence, acceptance and openness. Our country has become a safe haven for people from all over the world who may not be afraid of discrimination on the basis of religion, race, gender or color. "

"Tolerance is the fundamental value of any successful society, the foundation of stability, happiness and prosperity of peoples," said Sheikh.

“We look forward to the opening of an international institution of tolerance, whose work is aimed at enhancing the value, tolerance and openness among young Arab leaders. We must work together to make tolerance an important feature of culture.”
