Starting July 1, Dubai increased all fines for traffic violations, with the exception of one

From July 1, 2-17, new road fines took effect in Dubai: basically, everyone increased, but the size of one decreased.

Dubai, UAE. Since July 1, new road fines have come into effect in Dubai, according to which the speeding fee has risen, with one exception: now the fine for exceeding speeds of no more than 20 km / h is 300 dirhams (US $ 82) instead of 500 dirhams (US $ 135) previously accrued. This was reported to the Russian Emirates by the Dubai police.

As you know, in Dubai there is a 20 km / h buffer between the set speed limit and the speed at which the radar is “charged”. The Dubai police said that this buffer remains: thus, if a limit of 80 km / h is set on the highway, the radar will still work at a speed of 101 km / h (however, on some routes the radars are charged at a lower speed). The maximum fine for speeding is now 3,000 dirhams - when driving 80 km / h faster than the set limit.

Among the new binding rules are the transportation of children under four years old in child seats, the use of seat belts, the increase in the period of confiscation of cars for a number of violations and the amount of penalty points. The fines for using mobile phones while driving increased 4 times - from 200 to 800 dirhams. Drivers who skip a red light run the risk of being left without a car for 60 days and pay a fine of 2000 dirhams (+23 penalty points).
