Lebanese haute cuisine restaurant open in Dubai

No tourist or local resident of Dubai can say that he has never been to a Lebanese restaurant. It is with Lebanese cuisine that many people associate the concept of "Arabic cuisine." And although this is quite far from the truth, it is worthwhile to pay tribute to enterprising Lebanese for instilling in people of different nationalities a great love for dishes such as hummus, mutabal, shishtauk and shishkebab, grilled lamb ribs and many others. We talked with what real Lebanese cuisine is like. Fadi Khoury, owner of a new five-star restaurant Bur al hamam, recently opened its doors in the newly built specialized restaurant center Jumeirah plazathat on Jumeirah Beach Road.

- Fadi, why right now have you decided to open such a luxurious Lebanese restaurant in Dubai?

- Despite the financial crises or the ups of the economy, people have always loved and love to eat. Our restaurant is a family restaurant, which is very popular in Lebanon, as well as many other countries. I continue the work of my father, who opened his first cafeteria more than 50 years ago, and today we are proud to say that Burj Al Hamam is Lebanese haute cuisine, the best dishes and drinks. This is our first restaurant in Dubai, and we believe in its success.

- How, in your opinion, will the new Lebanese restaurant differ from many others already working in the Emirates?

- Its atmosphere and sophistication. Despite the fact that it is located opposite the popular Jumeirah Beach beach park among residents and visitors of the city, it involves a certain dress code and the presence of the corresponding audience. We want our guests to enjoy the meal, to eat it slowly, paying tribute to the skill of our cooks.

“Are these their rewards?”

- These are the awards of the restaurants of the Burj Al Hamam chain, received at different times in different countries. We are pleased to present our signature dishes to the Dubai public - lamb fillet, salads, grilled dishes, and many seafood. We hope that Dubai will do us justice. Representatives of different nationalities live here in a good neighborhood, and we can offer everyone something special. Indeed, in Lebanese cuisine only snacks (mezze), there are more than 90 varieties. I promise everyone a varied menu, exquisite table setting and excellent service.

- Given the many years of friendship between Lebanon and Russia, do you plan to open Burj Al Hamam in Moscow, for example?

- Honestly, I would be very happy. And if one of the Russian businessmen or restaurateurs offers me a partnership or a franchise, I will agree with pleasure. In the meantime, I invite all Russian-speaking tourists and residents of Dubai to my restaurant. I really want to understand what tastes they have and how we can properly and reverently serve our Russian guests. Welcome to the Burj al hamam. I am sure you will like it with us.
