10 people lost in the mountains of the UAE

The rescue team found a group of tourists lost in the mountains of the United Arab Emirates.

The police of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, saved 10 people of Arab and Asian descent who were lost in the mountain valleys of the northern emirate.

The central task force of the police received a message at 17:30 on Saturday, November 25, and sent transport services, ambulances, paramedics and rescue teams to the scene.

Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al Humaidi, director general of the Central Operations Division of the Ras Al Khaimah Police Department, said rescue teams searched the area.

Search operations continued until late at night. 10 people were found at a depth of 4 km in one of the mountain valleys of the emirate.

"Rescue teams and paramedics provided residents who were lost in the valley with first aid and transported them to the hospital for treatment," he said.

Al Humaidi urged climbers and tourists to exercise extreme caution and strictly follow safety rules.

"Ras al-Khaimah police rescue teams are monitoring any kind of emergency situations around the clock, but people are also strongly encouraged to take all precautions," he added.
