50 automated public toilets installed in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Municipality will provide residents and visitors with automated public toilets.

The city of Abu Dhabi began supplying the first batch of 15 automated sanitary units (public toilets). In total, 54 units are expected to be installed by the end of the last quarter of the year. The entire project will be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2018.

This project is part of the commitment of the Department of Urban Development and the municipality to provide the community with modern, convenient facilities and the modernization of municipal assets and infrastructure.

This step is also consistent with directives and a government vision that is consistent with the Abu Dhabi development plan.

The project of automated bathrooms is designed to serve visitors to parks and retail areas, residential areas, as well as main and auxiliary roads. The municipality will also be involved in the maintenance and operation of these automated toilets.

Parks in which bathrooms were installed include Sheikha Fatima Park, Capital Park, Airport Park and others.

In the future, the project should cover most of the recreational facilities, streets and business districts.
