Emirates Dubai Airlines employee rewarded for saving a child

Emirates employee saved the life of a child on board.

Eissam Mustafa Mohammed Ouf, a member of the crew of Emirates Airlines, was busy serving meals to passengers on a flight from London to Dubai when he noticed that the child on board began to choke and lost consciousness. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, Iyssam immediately rushed to the child. He began to beat him on the cheeks and conduct resuscitation.

The child regained consciousness. It turned out that the tragedy could have happened due to some object stuck in the throat. Thus, the crew member through his actions saved the life of the child.

Aissam was one of the recently awarded Emirates Group employees. This is the eleventh time that the company has celebrated the exceptional merit of individual employees.

“Every year we come together to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our employees. Their hard work, perseverance, compassion and constant pursuit of excellence are vital to the success of Emirates and dnata, and I congratulate them for their brilliant work and contribution,” said Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline.

The program encouraged over 70 exemplary workers. Employees who receive a nomination for the award are carefully selected.

Other awards were presented for a number of outstanding achievements - from saving lives and providing support in difficult situations to creating innovative business solutions.

So, an employee of the operations department at the airport, Fadila Bachiri, witnessed how one of the passengers choked on candy and almost suffocated. Without waiting for the arrival of the medical team, she herself provided first aid to the victim. Fadila not only saved the life of the passenger, but also helped to calm his wife.
