Sharjah Police urged drivers to maintain speed limits during Ramadan

Sharjah police called on all drivers not to exceed the speed limit during the holy month of Ramadan.

Representatives of the Sharjah police urged motorists to comply with the high-speed regime, especially when eating Iftar and Suhur during the holy month of Ramadan.

On the eve of the police recorded several cars, significantly exceeding the speed during the permitted meal.

Major General Abdulrahman Mohammed Khater, head of the Sharjah Police Traffic Control Department, asked drivers to take precautions when moving around the city, especially in crowded places, due to the fact that many people rush to the mosque.

Two cases of speeding are especially worth noting: one car was moving at a speed of 231.6 km / h before the time of an early meal of Suhur, the other at a speed of 214.7 km / h immediately before an evening iftar meal.
