Dubai airport invites emirate to transit passengers

At Dubai Airport, transit tours provide virtual tours of the emirate.

Dubai, UAE. An installation called MyDubai Experience is installed in Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport and invites all transit passengers on a virtual tour of Dubai. Thus, the Dubai Tourism Department invites travelers to visit the emirate.

Last year, Dubai’s international air hub served 89 million passengers, of which 70 million traveled in transit. Last week, the UAE government announced a number of initiatives for tourists: for example, transit tourists will be exempted from visa fees for two days, a 96-hour stay in the UAE will cost only 50 dirhams.

The interactive digital installation is designed specifically for transit passengers and contains a variety of content about the tourism products of Dubai in eight languages. Passengers will be able to register and draw up a program of stay for 2 days of interest and at the same time take part in the lottery and win a luxurious vacation in the emirate.

In the future, there will be two photo booths in which passengers can take pictures and apply filters, which means they can post memories of a pleasant moment on social networks. Thus, millions of passengers will be inspired to return to Dubai, according to Dubai Tourism.
