Dubai taxi drivers will be able to pay fines with points from passengers

All Dubai taxi passengers will be able to evaluate the work of drivers and reward the best of them.

The Dubai Highway and Transportation Authority's Public Transport Agency (RTA) announced the launch of the Kafou program, which aims to encourage conscientious taxi drivers working in the emirate. The initiative applies to all taxi fleets.

Dubai taxi users got the opportunity to evaluate the work of 25 thousand drivers. Drivers will be able to spend earned points, including the payment of fines.

Adele Shakri, director of planning and development for the RTA Public Transport Agency, said: "This program is the first of its kind in the whole world ... The purpose of this program is to motivate taxi drivers to provide excellent passenger services."
