In Dubai, an animal advocate helped the family reunite with a missing cat eight years ago.
These New Year holidays for the Dijkstra family from Dubai became special - they were able to meet them with their cat named Nognix, which disappeared eight years ago.
A white albino cat with blue eyes disappeared in 2010, but thanks to the efforts of activist Lena Elena, he returned home to his family.
On the Bin Kitty community page on Facebook, Elena said that the cat was found in one of the districts of the Sharjah emirate. When they picked him up, he turned out to be deaf. With some effort, the activist managed to find the Nognix family.
The Dijkstra family is happy to be reunited with their pet and notes that what has happened has taught them the importance of microchips for pets, making it easier to find lost dogs and cats.
