You can now register newborns in the UAE by SMS

The electronic registration service for newborns is now available in all regions of the United Arab Emirates.

The state digital service for registration of newborns in the UAE, which has already been used by 8 thousand families, now works in all emirates.

Previously, this service was available in 35 hospitals in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.

A service called Mabrouk Ma Yak sends a text message to parents of newborn children asking them to indicate the name of the child and upload their photo. Families then receive a package that includes a birth certificate, identity card, and Johnson's complimentary baby items.

Muhammad Al Zaruni of the Telecommunications Authority said: "The Mabrouk Ma Yak service complies with the UAE government guidelines for providing seamless, integrated, easy-to-use public services that can be accessed anytime, anywhere."
