Dubai, UAE. The first in the history of the United Arab Emirates Russian festival "Matryoshka" will be held from October 16 to November 19 in Dubai, on the territory of the Wafi shopping complex. The event’s special guest is TV presenter and model, Miss Russia 2003, Victoria Lopyreva.
A grand opening is planned for October 16, during which the guests of the festival will be shown collections of famous Russian designers: Denis Simachev, Katya Dobryakova, Anastasia Romantsova (brand A la Russe) and others. At the Russian fair will be presented products specially brought from Russia. A play area will be equipped for the kids, where they will be given master classes by a specialist in the manufacture of nesting dolls.
The festival will last for five weeks, each of which will be thematic in nature. The first week (from October 16 to 22) will be devoted to fashion: as part of it, fashion shows of the brand A La Russe and presentation of the collection of Ekaterina Dobryakova (October 16, 18 and 19), as well as master classes by the famous stylist Alexander Rogov (18 and 19 October).
The second week, from October 23 to 29, is sports: on October 23, Russian gymnasts will perform, on October 24 - ballroom dancers (adults and children), on October 25 a special guest of the festival will hold a master class, world record holder Yevgeny Papunaishvili, on October 25, the team will demonstrate their abilities in taekwondo. For spectators there will be amateur competitions with valuable prizes.
The third week will be devoted to ballet (October 30 - November 5), which will be attended by leading Russian dancers - Ekaterina Borchenko and Evgeny Ivanchenko. On October 30, performances of children's ballet groups will take place, and on October 31 and November 1 - a master class "Become a ballerina".
The art week (from November 6 to 12) will be unusually eventful. On November 6, 7 and 8 they will be given to the sand animation master Arthur Kirillov, an exhibition dedicated to Vladimir Putin will open on November 7, and a book about the current President of Russia, author Yana Gromova, will be presented.
The festival will end with a week of music (November 13-19): it will be filled with opera and folklore motifs. Special guest - beat boxer Vakhtang.
