The British architectural bureau Zaha Hadid Architects won the competition to create the concept of the Sberbank IT park. The technopark is supposed to be built in the Skolkovo innovation center. The legendary architect Zaha Hadid personally participated in the development of a draft concept for the Sberbank technology park in the Skolkovo Innovation Center. “This is her last project, on which she completed work,” said German Gref, head of Sberbank.
The chief architect of Moscow, Sergey Kuznetsov, praised Zakha's concept as "a compact space assembled into one large block with a limited amount of light." The area of the industrial park on a site of 7.7 hectares in Skolkovo will exceed 130 thousand square meters.
Zaha Hadid is the first woman to become the laureate of the most prestigious award of the world architectural community - the Pritzker Prize. Together with Norman Foster and Jean Nouvel, Zaha Hadid was one of the three most influential architects on the planet. Her work includes the 21st Century National Museum of Art in Rome, the Water Sports Center in London, the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, the Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art in Cincinnati and the Guangzhou Opera House. In Moscow, the Dominion Tower business center was built according to the Zaha Hadid Architects project. Zaha Hadid died at the end of March 2016 in the United States at the 66th year of her life. The cause of death was a heart attack.
