Restaurant Overview

DUBAI MAY HAPPEN WITH NUMEROUS HIGH KITCHEN RESTAURANTS THAT ARE FAMOUS FOR COOKING PREPARED DISHES AND THEIR FOLLOWING SPECIAL PRESENTATION. IN THIS SEASON, WE HAVE SELECTED THE BEST SEAFOOD RESTAURANTS.

Al mahara

Pictures of the interior of Al Mahara probably went around the world. The restaurant, built under the water of the "seven-star" hotel Burj Al Arab, where, sitting at a table, you can admire the coral reef and its colorful inhabitants. Perhaps this is the very place in Dubai where everyone would like to visit. We went to this conceptual institution to try a new menu from the chef Maxime Luvara, who worked with the best chefs in the world - Alan Ducasse, Truagro, Antoine Westermann, Christian Constant in 2 and 3-star Michelin restaurants.

Immersion in the special atmosphere of the restaurant, whose name in Arabic means "Oyster Sink", begins in advance. There is a separate elevator in the hotel, which literally puts you down to the bottom of the sea. And at the entrance you are already met by waiters and lead through that very famous golden tunnel into a hall immersed in twilight.

In fairness, it is worth noting that after all, the underwater world is not in its natural environment, but in a huge - from floor to ceiling - aquarium that casts glare on the faces of restaurant guests and makes a pretty strong impression.

Al Mahara is positioned as one of the most prestigious and expensive fish restaurants in Dubai. Therefore, sitting down at the table, you immediately tune into the haute cuisine. Tranquil sailing sea creatures now and then distract from the menu - sometimes a tiger moray ears inaudibly, then a giant Napoleon fish freezes in front of you and begins to examine you with no less interest than you, then a two-meter-tall reef shark swims majestically.

The standards announced by Bourges Al-Arab are hardly likely to be surpassed, and the Al Mahara Restaurant maintains the seven-star status of the hotel. In what other institution can you try a dish where black caviar, foie gras and truffles are placed on one plate? Before bringing snacks, we were offered a choice of buns with different tastes: with celery, salmon, squid, as well as small portions of warm soup with salmon and leek. In a restaurant where lunch for two costs more than 1000 dirhams, such free treats are very handy.

So, what is the new menu of Maxim Louvard? For appetizers, we recommend trying king oysters in apple and cucumber broth, Alaskan king crab and goose liver paste with ravioli. Main dishes include marbled beef fried on plank, or freshly caught sea bass with piperada. If you came together, then seafood platter is perfect - here in a special broth you will find lobster, and fish, and king prawns and you will definitely be satisfied. Between dishes expect free refreshments - the most delicate sorbet from strawberries and mint. For dessert, we recommend taking dark brown sugar shortbread cookies with lime and light lemongrass mousse.

Catch Dubai

Dubai rightfully won the title of the culinary center of the Middle East and may surprise many gourmets, but perhaps the variety of flavors that can be found in New York can not be surpassed by him yet. The fashionable New York brand Catch has long been synonymous with the entire area where it originated, the famous Meatpacking quarter. The restaurant is a favorite place for stars of the first magnitude: from David Beckham to Beyoncé.

Two months ago, on the Sheikh Zayed Highway at Fairmont Dubai, the Catch Dubai was opened, which instantly became super popular - you need to book tables in advance, and the average time spent in a restaurant is limited to two hours - then you will be politely asked to make room for the following customers. But do not be indignant - there really are many people who want to get here, and all because they are excellently prepared here. You will remember the taste of the local dishes for quite some time and you will definitely want to come back - is this not the criterion of a good restaurant?

So, Catch Kitchen specializes in modern versions of classic seafood recipes. The menu, which Chef Bobby Griffing is responsible for, includes a variety of seafood, meat, and vegetarian dishes. Among the specialties are the Catch roll, which is set on fire right in front of you, sea bass with miso and bourbon sauce in lettuce leaves and marbled golden beef. For dessert, take S'Mores pizza with ice cream, marshmallows and dark chocolate, as well as Hit Me signature chocolate cake. The restaurant is famous for its large tables, allowing you to share a meal with a group of friends, which gives the establishment a warm and cozy atmosphere.

The interior of Catch recalls the heart of New York: quilted leather sofas, concrete, brick and copper walls, bronze columns, industrial fans and geometric black and white floors. Expensive and stylish.

Sontaya

Hotel The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort is without a doubt one of the most beautiful hotels in the Emirates. It is located on the island of Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi, and its terraces offer stunning views of the Persian Gulf. Among the hotel’s floating pavilions is the Sontaya Restaurant, which in Thai means sunset. In the evenings, due to its charming atmosphere, oriental aromas and lighted candles floating in the water, this place becomes extremely romantic.

The restaurant specializes in Southeast Asian cuisine and serves dishes from Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. Seafood is preferred, but there is also a meat menu. It is worth trying a Vietnamese salad with beef and homemade garlic chili sauce, curry massaman with beef ribs, as well as steamed red snapper.

Fortnum & mason

The Fortnum & Mason tea house and restaurant, since its inception in 1707 on Piccadilly Street, has become the heart of London life. Ladies from high society came here to taste delicious cakes, excellent tea and freshly baked scone buns with whipped cream, and in the end they got "tasty" gifts in a store located here. Through the efforts of true gentlemen William Fortnum and Hugh Mason, the place very quickly turned into the world's most luxurious deli, delivering tea and other products even to the royal family.

In November 2013, Fortnum & Mason opened its second restaurant in the United Kingdom - in the building of London St. Pancras International Station. And in March 2014, the first restaurant in the 308-year history outside of Britain in Dubai. We must pay tribute - the same spirit of the English aristocracy reigns here, only from the open terrace the view does not open on Big Ben, but on the majestic Bourges Khalifa and the famous Dubai fountains.

In Dubai, Fortnum & Mason is located in a separate three-story building. At the top there is an ice cream parlor, in the middle there is a restaurant, and below there is a shop where there is a huge selection of the best tea from all over the world, various delicacies, creamy cookies, gift sets of treats, honey, preserves, jams and handmade sweets.

You should definitely check out five o'clock tea here. However, the restaurant is open in the morning, offering original breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Recently, Fortnum & Mason has also become a popular venue for celebrations and birthdays.
