Ras Al Khaimah's travel sector reports record revenue

THE RAS AL KHEIM TOURISM DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL REPORTED THAT IN 2014 THE REVENUE OF THE TOURISM SECTOR OF THE EMIRATE EXCEEDED 1 BILLION DIRHAMS (US $ 272 MILLION).
According to the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Council, in 2014, revenues from the tourism industry of Ras Al Khaimah exceeded 1 billion dirhams (US $ 272 million). Similar results were achieved for the first time. In 2013, Ras Al Khaimah Hotels sold 2.14 million guest nights, which is 72% more than in 2013. Promising markets for emirate hotels in 2014 were the markets of the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Great Britain, Sweden, Russia, Italy, Switzerland and India.

In 2014, in Ras Al Khaimah, the hotel opened with 655 rooms Rixos Bab A1 Bahr Resort, the only hotel in the UAE using the ultra-allinclusive system, as well as the hotel with 315 rooms Marjan Island Resort & Spa and the hotel with 484 rooms Double Tree by Hilton Resort & Spa. This circumstance undoubtedly contributed to the further development of the tourism sector of the emirate.
