UAE authorities forbade women drivers to bring beauty behind the wheel

The UAE Ministry of the Interior has issued a circular according to which women drivers adjusting their hair or makeup while driving will be fined 1,000 dirhams (US $ 272). These actions, the document says, create emergency situations on the roads. In addition, offenders face the confiscation of the car for a period of 30 days.

Currently, the UAE already levies a fine for talking on a cell phone while driving. This year alone, 26.5 thousand accidents were registered in Dubai, the cause of which was the driver’s carelessness and telephone conversations while driving. In Sharjah, nearly 9,000 drivers were fined for using telephones - be it talking, sending messages or taking photographs.
