The fair and the family village open-air amusement park "World Village", or Global Village, will open this year on October 21, making the current 17th season the longest in the history of its existence.
This is due to the constantly growing demand for her visit, which will be further strengthened by the religious holiday of Eid al-Ahda (this year it falls on October 25-26). It is worth recalling that in the previous season Global Village events were attended by about 5 million people from the UAE, the Middle East and the whole world. "The Global Village Fair remains one of the most popular and beloved entertainments and continues to attract an increasing number of guests from around the world," said project chief executive officer Saeed Al Bin Reda.
"Within a few weeks we will report on the number of new attractions and buildings that will make the fair even more attractive next season," he also explained. It is planned that Global Village will work until March 30, 2013, or 161 days, and it will be served by more than 10 thousand people. “Each time, with our team and our partners, we create new occasions for local families and visitors to come to us and get a pleasant experience at our fair, which presents tastes and cultures from around the globe,” said Saeed Al Bin Reda.
Since 1997, when the fair appeared in the area of Dubai Bay in front of the city hall, she wandered around at different venues until in 2005 she found a permanent “residence permit” in the Emirates Road area. For several years, it has grown from the national pavilions of 18 countries to 40. Here you can watch live performances, taste dishes of world cuisines, purchase handmade goods, and get acquainted with the traditions of different countries. Entrance to the fair costs 10 dirhams (US $ 2.7), for children under three years old - admission is free. Especially for visitors, 16.5 thousand parking spaces are equipped near the entrance.
