Global Village trade fair in 2011 was visited by 2 million people

The grand international exhibition-fair and open-air amusement park Global Village ("World Village") set a new record: from the moment of opening on November 1 to the end of December 2011, 2 million people visited it. Thus, the fair became the most popular entertainment project in the Middle East region: during the first few weekends, it gathered more than 200 thousand people on its territory.

This Global Village record will be added to the project's piggy bank and will once again confirm its ability to always meet the expectations of visitors. This year, the park administration introduced new bus routes from parking lots to the fair gates to improve the quality of customer service. This measure was caused by the fact that the existing parking, which accommodates 16 thousand cars, is often fully occupied as early as 18.00.

Entertainment and theatrical performances from around the world, as well as handicraft products from 45 countries, which are sold in 29 national pavilions, are of constant interest to the guests of the fair.

Global Village is an ideal place for family holidays and entertainment for representatives of all nationalities. The fair offers spectators various fascinating performances, and the show of the local Dancing Fountain is broadcast on the park’s television channel online. This season, the “Tent of Peace” (Global Tent), which seats more than 600 people at a time, was a surprise for visitors. Global Village has also expanded its amusement zone with new games and activities for adults and children from 4 years old.

Since its opening in 1997, Global Village has remained a popular destination for shopping and entertainment throughout the Middle East. It includes cultural attractions of different countries and offers a large selection of national restaurants and shops. This year the fair will run until March 3, 2012.
