In winter, the fruits of wild jujuba (al-Nabak), called pectoral berries, ripen, citrus fruits, jauwafa, mulberry, which gives mulberry berries, the time for planting and pollinating palm trees, deserts turn green, and mushrooms spawn in the sands.
Winter in the UAE is the best time to observe the stars. With the naked eye, after sunset in the eastern part of the sky, the red planet Mars is visible, and at the end of the night, Venus can be seen in the same part of the sky. In the first week of January, the astronomer promises abundant "star rains."
